About the role

  • Project Quality Engineer at NewTec improving safety-critical development processes for industries like Automotive and Medical Technology. Collaborating with engineering teams to ensure quality standards are met.

Responsibilities

  • You are an active member of our development projects, supporting them from project initiation through to acceptance.
  • You are responsible for appropriate planning and application of our development processes within the project.
  • Together with project management and engineering teams, you ensure a consistent, standards-compliant understanding of processes and advise on all quality-related topics.
  • You analyze results and procedures from current projects and, together with the process owners, derive concrete, applicable optimizations for our quality management system.
  • You train employees in quality-assured development and are responsible for the continuous improvement of our methods, processes, and tools in the quality assurance area.

Requirements

  • You have at least five years of professional experience in development projects as a development engineer (alternatively systems, software, or hardware engineer) or in quality management.
  • Ideally in safety-critical environments (e.g., automotive, avionics, or medical technology).
  • You have practical experience with standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 13485, or similar.
  • You are confident with software development methodologies such as the V-model and waterfall, combined with agile approaches.
  • You are familiar with DevOps principles.
  • You have hands-on experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS or Polarion.
  • You have native-level proficiency in German (written and spoken) and very good English skills.
