Responsibilities
Drive delivery by enabling the product/team to consistently conduct discovery focused on the customer, experiment and evolve product strategy based on prior outcomes and feedback loops.
Operate in a one-to-many ratio of Agilist to teams, with a focus on thoughtful and impactful use of your time to support the teams and leaders.
Own the Agile practices of the team/product group/journey including coaching and guidance on events, cross-portfolio impacts, planning, dependency maps, OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) and key metrics for success in partnership with Product Management, business partners, digital and technology modelling agile methods, values, and principles.
Champion and coach on Agile ways of working and mindset.
Focuses on Agile methods for prioritization, supports product management routines such as QPP, scaling the Shield Way of Working Toolkit, and builds the expertise of the team through coaching and training.
Implement and lead tactics using Agile tools for product roadmaps, OKRs, sprint planning, backlog refinement and collaboration (tools include JIRA, Confluence, Dragonboat, Mural, KYT metrics).
Refine Definition of Done, MVP (coaching), Personas, and Story Maps and supports coaching on refinement tactics of the backlog.
Assist with funding, staffing and team rosters including overseeing team kickoff training and vendor management.
Establish and monitor team/Agile metrics to improve the discovery and delivery of the team related to customer outcomes and continuous improvement.
Identify and close communication gaps that impact alignment, delivery, or adoption.
Translate complex initiatives into clear, digestible messaging for teams and stakeholders
Expertise on the critical interdependencies among product model system elements that help and hinder performance; ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business results using business metrics, key performance indicators, design systems, service blueprints, and reusability
Demonstrates deep understanding of target customer through internal/external research and discovery (e.g., creation of personas, story maps, product chartering/mapping experience)
Strong collaboration with product managers and software engineers to execute product vision and roadmap
Experience identifying and addressing communication breakdowns or misalignment
Strong facilitation skills with an emphasis on clarity and engagement
Familiarity with change management approaches, especially communication planning and reinforcement
Experience contributing to communication strategies within transformation efforts
Working technical knowledge of the software development process - design, development, test, and deployment
Experience working with Executive Leadership with strong communication, collaboration, leadership, conflict resolution, and time management skills
Strong knowledge of Agile values, principles and practices
Demonstrated growth and curiosity mindset
Able to explain what Agile mindset means, what makes a great team and how both of those connect to the Agile Principles
