About the role

  • Legal Assistant supporting property management team with correspondence and documentation related to UK property law regulations. Requires 2–3 years of legal experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Review and respond to formal leaseholder correspondence, including letters and complaints.
  • Assist property managers in drafting responses regarding disputes, service charge queries and management issues.
  • Support preparation of documentation for RTM and FTT matters.
  • Conduct basic legal and regulatory research related to UK property management.
  • Prepare professional written responses to solicitors, leaseholders and other parties.
  • Compile documentation for tribunal cases or potential disputes.
  • Maintain accurate records of correspondence and legal-related matters.
  • Work closely with property managers to ensure consistent communication and appropriate handling of contentious matters.
  • Monitor ongoing disputes and track deadlines.
  • Assist in preparing summaries and reports for senior management where disputes escalate.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in legal assistant, paralegal, or legal administrative roles.
  • Experience in property law, leasehold management, or dispute resolution is advantageous.
  • Strong written communication skills; ability to draft professional correspondence.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to analyse letters and identify key issues.
  • Strong research skills; ability to summarise information clearly.
  • Professional and calm when dealing with challenging correspondence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
