About the role

  • Sales Lead managing the B2B Sourcing team for Upway, the leading platform for certified refurbished e-bikes. Driving growth and securing high-quality second-hand e-bikes across France and Southern Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the B2B sourcing team: Build, coach, and lead a high-performing B2B sourcing team.
  • Define the B2B sourcing strategy: Develop a comprehensive B2B strategy for the France & Southern Europe markets covering bike shop portfolio management, partner tiering and allocation, field cadence, and more.
  • Own and optimize team performance: Monitor and improve key KPIs such as bikes sourced, portfolio growth, and activity rate.
  • Deploy new services: As we introduce new partner collaborations (pickup, drop-off, maintenance), lead on-the-ground deployment and co-design partner communications (newsletters, point-of-sale materials, etc.).
  • Improve sales operations: Design and implement scalable sales processes, CRM workflows, and operational frameworks.

Requirements

  • B2B experience: 7+ years in B2B sales or business development. Experience in the cycling industry is a plus, but “Sales DNA” (FMCG, SaaS, field sales) is valued above all.
  • Leadership: 3+ years of management experience with a proven track record of leading teams and/or building sales structures from the ground up.
  • Strategic mindset: Ability to structure and prioritize team efforts using quantitative and qualitative insights to deliver results efficiently.
  • Road warrior: Energized by fieldwork and willing to travel 60–80% of the time across France (and occasionally Southern Europe) to stay close to your team and partners.
  • Languages: Native-level French and professional proficiency in English (for internal reporting). Spanish and/or Italian are a plus.
  • Genuine passion for cycling: Our partners are true enthusiasts, and so are we. Authentic enthusiasm for bikes is key to opening conversations, building trust, and being seen as a relevant peer in the industry.
