About the role

  • Intern supporting Digital Commercial Partnerships at Universal Music. Analyzing the digital music market and assisting marketing and account management tasks in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • You will actively support account management in day-to-day operations.
  • Together with the Key Account team, you will work on the development and analysis of the audio streaming market. You will produce analyses on current questions related to digital music consumption and on optimizing digital strategy.
  • You will support teams in day-to-day tasks by monitoring tracks and by planning, executing and analyzing campaigns.
  • You will prepare regular executive summaries of meetings, presentations and news related to the digital business.
  • You will work with all Universal Music labels and across all genres.
  • Independently, you will take on marketing and key account management tasks from planning and coordination through to the evaluation of sales activities.
  • You will analyze the performance of songs on all major streaming platforms (e.g., market performance & market comparisons).
  • You will prepare project and client presentations.
  • You will handle your own projects in collaboration with individual team members.
  • You will support advertising campaigns on the online platforms of our download partners—from planning (e.g., selecting albums and songs) through execution to analysis.
  • You will assist the Affiliate Marketing area from link creation to reporting.

Requirements

  • You are studying Economics, Business Informatics, Marketing or a related field, preferably with a focus on Business Intelligence, Marketing Science or Statistics.
  • You have already gained practical experience in a media or digital company or have worked in a commercial role.
  • You are passionate about music and have initial knowledge of the digital music market; you are well familiar with common social media channels and music streaming services and use them privately.
  • You are confident with MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and ideally have some experience with Photoshop.
  • You have very good German language skills and are comfortable communicating in English.
  • You enjoy working with data and, thanks to your analytical strengths, find it easy to identify and understand complex processes and relationships.
  • You always work independently, in a structured, conscientious and proactive manner, particularly with regard to deadlines, timings and workflows.
  • You have an eye for detail, enjoy taking initiative and can think beyond immediate challenges.
  • You are a creative thinker who likes to contribute ideas, and open communication with your colleagues is natural to you.
