About the role

  • Integration Engineer designing and implementing integration strategies for Uni Systems. Working with APIs, workflows, and distributed architectures in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan, implement integration strategies and patterns in a JEE/HTTP secured ecosystem.
  • Apply best practices of distributed architecture to solve complex integration problems between information systems.
  • Design, implement and document APIs to be exposed in a secured manner on a public facing API Gateway.
  • Design, implement and document business events to be easily produced on a corporate event-streaming platform and consumed by any system.
  • Design, plan, implement and deploy workflows: business process definition and task definition (service or user tasks) relying on APIs and business events.
  • Work in a container based infrastructure.
  • Production of use case models, software architecture documents, design and analysis models, implementation models.
  • Follow up of the data analysis and data modelling.
  • Documentation of the technical implementations and the composites.
  • Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
  • Assistance in the testing, the technical documentation, the deployment, the evaluation and the reporting.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in IT and minimum 13 years of relevant professional experience (or Bachelor's degree in IT and minimum 17 years of experience).
  • At least 5 years of experience with Java/JEE.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with SOAP and/or REST.
  • At least 5 years of experience with BPMN (and one BPMN workflow engine).
  • 3 years of experience with Jira.
  • Java EE Application Developer certification is mandatory.
  • At least 2 years of experience with HTTP and API design.
  • Experience with Workflow applications.
  • Previous experience with relational databases.
  • Excellent knowledge of asynchronous communication and publish/subscribe techniques and technologies: Apache Kafka, JMS.
  • Strong experience with integration testing best practices.
  • Proven experience with AI-powered code assistants (e.g., Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot) for accelerating coding processes and enhancing developer productivity.
  • Good knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes and cloud native architectures.
  • Familiarity with GRPC and Protobuf format.
  • Good knowledge of distributed or microservice architectures and complex event processing.
  • Good knowledge in Web security, OAuth2.0 and OpenID Connect.
  • Advanced English (C1) communication skills (written and spoken).
