About the role

  • Join UAMS as an Assistant/Associate Professor in Family Medicine delivering patient-centered care while mentoring residents. Collaborate in educational and research initiatives within a diverse healthcare team.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional, evidence-based, patient-centered care while fostering a positive learning environment for residents and students.
  • Provide high-quality patient care, mentoring residents in outpatient and inpatient settings, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate on scholarly activities, engage in research, and uphold the mission and academic goals of the department.
  • Spend approximately 12 weeks in the hospital setting precepting residents.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree and/or PhD/DO
  • Board Certified in Family Medicine
  • Arkansas State Medical License
  • DEA
  • Strong clinical expertise and commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care.
  • Proficiency in medical teaching and mentoring residents.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of quality metrics and performance standards.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to advancing clinical medicine through education and research.
