About the role

  • Recommend and assist with access to medical, educational, social, vocational, housing, and more to support program goals.
  • Initiate referrals to the next level of care, and coordinate with physical health providers to ensure whole-person care, and advocate in the best interest of clients.
  • Provide services for individual counseling and group sessions for individuals that are justice involved with Substance Use Disorder and Mental Health Disorders.
  • Collaborate with Program Manager in client care for assessments, groups, individual sessions, along with the treatment planning.
  • Develop, evaluate, and implement treatment goals and plans in conjunction with the FPP statement of work.
  • Provide individual supportive coaching in all areas of clients’ life.
  • Perform psychosocial and risk assessments and maintains a daily log of client contacts.
  • Provide support to all clients including on-call crisis intervention covering nighttime and weekend hours.
  • Conduct and oversee psychoeducational groups as directed by Program Manager.
  • Perform shift management duties in coordination with other staff as directed by Program Manager.
  • Function as a liaison between client, program, and federal Probation Officer.
  • Comply with all charting and documentation requirements per contract, funding agency, and TURN policy.
  • Prepare critical care issues for discussion during supervision and Daily Organizational Staff Meetings.
  • Collect necessary client demographic data and enters it on the TURN Treatment Team Services Data Collections Form.
  • Provide information about the program to community agencies connected to the mental and substance abuse services system.
  • Comply with all TURN and program rules, policies and procedures including HIPAA standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral science and a background of experience providing clinical services to individuals with Substance Use Disorders and CA BBS registration or license (MFT, LCSW, LPCC) required.
  • Valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
  • Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
  • Cultural competency understanding required.
  • Bilingual preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve and react appropriately to emergency situations.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with a team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
