About the role

  • Assistant Billing Manager responsible for invoicing services provided by agency programs. Ensuring compliance with regulations and assisting billing staff at Trillium Family Services.

Responsibilities

  • Invoice services provided by agency programs in accordance with accepted billing practices
  • Utilize appropriate billing forms and software accurately and efficiently
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws, including HIPAA, Medicaid, and state insurance regulations
  • Collect fees for services provided by agency programs
  • Assist with posting daily deposits
  • Act as the principal trainer for new billing staff
  • Provide ongoing support and assistance to billing staff as needed
  • Perform Access-related duties as required
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable regulations and ensure billing practices remain compliant

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
  • Five (5) or more years of previous billing experience, including all aspects of business office functions
  • Working knowledge of JCAHO standards and state regulations for both acute care and skilled nursing facilities
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
