Responsibilities
Responsible for performing analysis, design, and implementation of Cloud services across public cloud environments with a high degree of accuracy.
Technical Execution: Complete intermediate end to end engineering tasks for specific system assignments including developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on user or system design specifications, as well as participating in troubleshooting, conducting impact analysis and escalating appropriately.
Writes and supports Infrastructure-As-Code within an approved pipeline and adheres to best practices and standards.
Support and develop cloud automation of manual tasks for improved speed and consistency.
Identify and implement opportunities to improve and optimize Travelers’ environment, through tactical recommendations and strategic plans, working collaboratively with teams across technology organizations.
Define and implement technical requirements for Cloud solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies.
Design cloud deployment automation workflows while performing analysis and resolution for infrastructure issues of intermediate complexity.
Configure and optimize cloud-based compute, storage, and networking resources ensuring efficiency, availability, and performance.
Implement monitoring systems for Cloud while ensuring adherence to security protocols and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with Technology Engineers to ensure seamless integration between infrastructure services and higher-level platform services.
Requirements
Three (3) years of Cloud/platform engineering experience preferred.
Certifications: related to the following is preferred but not required: AWS Developer Associate. AWS SYSOPS Administrator Associate. AWS DevOps Engineer Professional. AWS Solutions Architect Architect.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in work experience plus 2 years of cloud engineering experience.
