• Cloud Engineer I at Travelers focusing on cloud automation, infrastructure design, and service management. Collaborating with teams to modernize cloud provisioning and improve operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing analysis, design, and implementation of Cloud services across public cloud environments with a high degree of accuracy.
• Technical Execution: Complete intermediate end to end engineering tasks for specific system assignments including developing, analyzing, configuring, testing, debugging, troubleshooting, documenting, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on user or system design specifications, as well as participating in troubleshooting, conducting impact analysis and escalating appropriately.
• Writes and supports Infrastructure-As-Code within an approved pipeline and adheres to best practices and standards.
• Support and develop cloud automation of manual tasks for improved speed and consistency.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve and optimize Travelers’ environment, through tactical recommendations and strategic plans, working collaboratively with teams across technology organizations.
• Define and implement technical requirements for Cloud solutions using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) methodologies.
• Design cloud deployment automation workflows while performing analysis and resolution for infrastructure issues of intermediate complexity.
• Configure and optimize cloud-based compute, storage, and networking resources ensuring efficiency, availability, and performance.
• Implement monitoring systems for Cloud while ensuring adherence to security protocols and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Technology Engineers to ensure seamless integration between infrastructure services and higher-level platform services.

Requirements

• Three (3) years of Cloud/platform engineering experience preferred.
• Certifications: related to the following is preferred but not required: AWS Developer Associate. AWS SYSOPS Administrator Associate. AWS DevOps Engineer Professional. AWS Solutions Architect Architect.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, related STEM field, or its equivalent in work experience plus 2 years of cloud engineering experience.
