  • Regional Manager leading sales teams in Southern Europe for Topcon. Responsible for strategy execution and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • The Regional Manager is responsible for leading the sales teams within the organization
  • This position involves managing and directing the strategic and operational activities of the sales team
  • Develop and implement sales strategies that align with overall business goals and objectives
  • Defining and executing territory sales plans
  • Manage the sales process, including lead generation, prospecting, sales calls, and closing deals
  • Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to develop sales materials, presentations, and proposals
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics and implement improvements as needed
  • Analyze customer base and actively look for possibilities to upsell and cross-sell to existing customers
  • Make data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation
  • Work with the local teams to increase the number of customers across the region
  • Oversee and direct performance of the sales team
  • Manage and develop a team of sales personnel, including sales representatives and account managers, to ensure efficient and effective operations
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the sales process to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations governing direct sales activities
  • Provide strategic direction to the sales team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the direct sales function supports the achievement of the company's overall goals
  • Prepare and present sales reports to senior leadership, including performance metrics, trends, and key insights

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in managing direct sales operations
  • Experience in leading an interculturally diverse team
  • Strong knowledge of direct sales principles and practices
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Well-developed listening skills and a strong ability to engage at a variety of levels
