About the role

  • Software Developer at Topaz responsible for developing and maintaining Java-based banking solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams using agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • You will be part of the software development team, delivering high-quality and reliable solutions;
  • Develop new features and maintain Topaz's Web channel (Internet Banking) and Physical channel (ATM/Cash Terminal) applications using Java;
  • Ensure code quality by following development and architecture best practices;
  • Optimize application performance and security;
  • Work within cross-functional teams, interacting with professionals from all areas and using agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
  • Perform code reviews and collaborate with the team for continuous improvement;
  • Act proactively, interacting with our clients to evaluate new projects and requests, discussing and proposing solutions that meet their needs.

Requirements

  • Strong fundamentals in programming and software engineering;
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot;
  • Experience with SOAP/REST Web Services;
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture/development and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka);
  • Knowledge of automated testing (Jest or similar);
  • Knowledge of API Gateway, Kubernetes, Docker;
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres) and strong SQL skills;
  • Experience with non-relational databases (including Redis and Elasticsearch);
  • Knowledge of application servers and web servers (WildFly/Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server/NGINX);
  • Experience with persistence frameworks (Hibernate / JPA, Spring Data);
  • Experience with UI frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC, JSF, JSP);
  • Experience with object-oriented programming (OOP);
  • Degree in Systems Analysis, Computer Science or a related field;
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban);
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Bitbucket/Git/GitFlow, Jira, Confluence);
  • Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins;
  • Basic security knowledge (OWASP Top 10).
