Global Events Intern in TomTom's Marketing department supporting corporate events and connecting people through experiences for the brand. Gaining hands-on experience in corporate event planning and execution.
Responsibilities
Support end-to-end event planning for global trade shows, conferences, internal kickoffs, customer events, and virtual experiences: from initial concept through to execution and evaluation.
Assist Event Managers with project coordination, including timelines, stakeholder updates, travel planning, supplier follow-up, and post-event reporting.
Own administrative and creative tasks like venue research, slide creation, swag management, and attendee communication.
Be a key player in day-to-day event team operations, while also collaborating with our broader Marketing organization (e.g., PR, brand, creative, digital).
Gain confidence representing the team with external vendors and partners, managing communications via email, video calls, and digital platforms/tools.
Take the lead on at least one event or activation project, with guidance and mentorship from your team.
Learn the ropes of the corporate event industry: from budgeting and branding to audience engagement and sustainability practices.

Requirements
You are currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in a business, marketing, communication, or event-related field.
You are an EU citizen or are enrolled in a Dutch university as a full-time student for the duration of the internship (a must for legal reasons).
You communicate clearly and confidently in English (written and spoken).
You bring strong organizational skills and time management, an eye for detail, and a proactive, can-do attitude.
You are confident contacting and working with other stakeholders and external parties/vendors.
You’re a natural team player who can also work independently.
You’re digitally savvy and comfortable navigating new platforms (bonus if you’ve used event or collaboration tools before).
You're excited about the world of tech, innovation, events, and branding.
