Responsibilities
Take ownership of end-to-end delivery across IT workstreams, ensuring technology foundations are implemented effectively and on time.
Lead deployment of core infrastructure including systems, networks, cloud services, and supporting tooling.
Execute technical projects across architecture, networking, cloud, security, and infrastructure with minimal oversight.
Design and implement scalable, secure cloud-based solutions using AWS and/or Azure.
Support hybrid infrastructure models where required.
Ensure cloud environments are resilient, appropriately governed, and optimised for long-term performance.
Architect and implement network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, segmentation, routing and switching.
Oversee design, setup, and operation of data centre infrastructure, including servers, storage, virtualisation and DR/BCP.
Ensure IT solutions align with operational requirements in service-led, process-heavy settings.
Maintain alignment with security best practices and compliance expectations relevant to operational/transaction-based environments.
Assess existing environments, identify gaps, and implement improvements.
Requirements
7+ years experience in a hands-on IT engineering / specialist role delivering infrastructure and architecture projects.
Strong generalist delivery experience across: Cloud (AWS/Azure) Network infrastructure design and implementation Data centre setup and operations Security fundamentals and best practices.
Industry experience in tolling highly desirable, OR experience in back-office / high-availability operational systems.
