About the role

  • IoT Quality Manager responsible for product quality throughout the lifecycle in consumer electronics. Collaborating with development, production, and testing partners to ensure compliance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the quality strategy of connected consumer products (hardware, firmware, app, system)
  • Define, implement and continuously improve quality processes across the entire product lifecycle
  • Manage and evaluate internal and external test and validation activities (HW, FW, system, integration)
  • Act as the interface to external test laboratories, certification bodies and authorities
  • Ensure regulatory compliance (e.g., CE, RED, EMC, product safety — depending on the product)
  • Analyze field data, complaints and returns to drive continuous quality improvement
  • Perform root cause analyses (RCA) and derive and track corrective actions (CAPA)
  • Support development and product teams in risk-based decision making
  • Contribute to supplier quality management and support quality-related audits

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Mechatronics, Computer Science or a related field
  • Several years of professional experience in quality management, QA, verification or validation of embedded or IoT products
  • Strong technical understanding of: embedded hardware & firmware, system and integration testing, connected products (device – app – backend)
  • Experience with consumer electronics or high-volume products is an advantage
  • Knowledge of standards, regulations and certifications for electronic products
  • Structured, pragmatic and solution-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
  • Excellent English skills; German is a plus.
