About the role

  • Program Director responsible for licensing and foster care operations in South Carolina. Ensuring quality services and management of staff while fostering a positive organizational culture.

Responsibilities

  • Monitoring data at a high level and taking necessary action around census, referrals, productivity, finances.
  • Establishing and modeling a traumatic-informed culture, as well as driving best clinical practices down throughout the work.
  • Ensuring the self-care and wellness of direct care staff is a priority for program supervisors.
  • Working through leaders to ensure programs under their chain are achieving targeted outcomes/people/financial success.
  • Overseeing the long-term planning and strategy for Licensing/Training and Foster Care.
  • Communication and climate setting with their staff.
  • Ensuring programs have the resources they need to ensure their program(s) success.
  • Effectively selecting, coaching, assessing and developing their staff.
  • Weighing in on organizational design and structure.
  • Relationship building up, down and sideways (internally and externally) for the organization’s benefit.
  • Developing and cultivating new business opportunities for the short- and long-term benefit of the organization.
  • Ensure direct reports work objectives tied with overall business strategy.
  • Continual Coaching and development of staff.
  • Ensure performance assessments are utilized constructively to improve performance.
  • Effectively balance task and resources among teams.
  • Coordinate foster parent events
  • Coordinate local foster parent recruitment events
  • Maintain program licensure as a Child Placing Agency (CPA).

Requirements

  • Must have a valid South Carolina Driver’s License.
  • Meet any credentialing, licensing and privileging standards as it pertains to the program(s) they lead.
  • Master’s Degree is required in Social Work or related field.
  • Verified 3 years of successful previous leadership experience.
  • Verified 3-5 years of experience working in licensing/training and/or foster care as a leader.
  • Displays the capacity/coachability for future growth and development as a leader.
