About the role
- Senior IT Architect responsible for Microsoft 365 and Windows infrastructure at Th. Geyer GmbH & Co. KG. Managing user identities, security solutions, and project implementations.
Responsibilities
- Design and further development of the Microsoft 365 platform: responsibility for Exchange Online, Teams including telephony, SharePoint, Power Platform, OneDrive, and integration of security solutions.
- Management and securing of user identities: administration of Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Conditional Access, MFA and PIM.
- Backup and archiving strategies: design and operation of solutions such as Veeam, Mimecast or AvePoint.
- Technical overall responsibility for Windows core services: operation and optimization of AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO as well as Terminal Services and VDI.
- Project leadership and consulting: planning and implementation of infrastructure and cloud projects, coordination with business units and external partners.
- Documentation and standardization: creation and maintenance of technical policies, security concepts and runbooks.
- Coordination of external service providers: management and quality assurance in the Microsoft and Windows environment.
Requirements
- Degree or vocational training in IT or comparable qualification
- 3–5 years of professional experience in the administration and architecture of Microsoft 365 and Windows infrastructures
- Excellent knowledge of Exchange Online, Teams (including telephony), SharePoint, OneDrive and Power Platform
- Experience with Entra ID, Conditional Access and other M365 security features
- Knowledge of Windows Server administration, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO as well as patch management and automation
- Experience with Terminal Services and VDI, VMware vSphere and data center service providers
- Project planning skills and the ability to independently implement complex IT projects
- Very good German language skills, good English language skills
- A structured, solution-oriented working style, sense of responsibility and strong communication skills
