Responsibilities
- Manage the hotel operations to ensure it is efficient and profitable
- Ensure compliance with company/franchise standards for personnel administration and performance, service to patrons, and room rates
- Delegate authority and assign responsibility to all employees
- Ensure staff received proper training for each position
- Allocate funds, authorize expenditures and assist Area Director in budget planning
- Monitor cost controls on a regular basis
- Perform duties of a Sales and Marketing manager
- Inspect guests’ rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance
- Answer patrons’ complaints and resolve problems
- Conduct annual wage scale surveys and ensure employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines
- Ensure bank deposits are made daily
- Ensure employee paperwork, work schedules and payroll are completed and submitted in a timely manner
- Order supplies and equipment as needed
Requirements
- Preferably 2+ year of similar Hotel GM Experience in Select Service or Extended Stay properties
- Brand Experience preferred
- Knowledgeable in Inventories, Scheduling, and Ordering
- Valid Driver’s License
- Open Availability
- Education Preferred of Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college, or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
