Responsibilities
Manage the hotel operations to ensure it is efficient and profitable
Ensure compliance with company/franchise standards for personnel administration and performance, service to patrons, and room rates
Delegate authority and assign responsibility to all employees
Ensure staff received proper training for each position
Allocate funds, authorize expenditures and assist Area Director in budget planning
Monitor cost controls on a regular basis
Perform duties of a Sales and Marketing manager
Inspect guests’ rooms, public access areas, and outside grounds for cleanliness and appearance
Answer patrons’ complaints and resolve problems
Conduct annual wage scale surveys and ensure employee wages follow wage and salary guidelines
Ensure bank deposits are made daily
Ensure employee paperwork, work schedules and payroll are completed and submitted in a timely manner
Order supplies and equipment as needed
Requirements
Preferably 2+ year of similar Hotel GM Experience in Select Service or Extended Stay properties
Brand Experience preferred
Knowledgeable in Inventories, Scheduling, and Ordering
Valid Driver’s License
Open Availability
Education Preferred of Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college, or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
