About the role

  • Engineer focusing on Static Equipment in Fertilizer and Chemical Gas Units. Responsibilities include project execution, maintenance support, and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for Mechanical Engineering demands with an emphasis on Static Equipment within Fertilizer and Chemical Gas Units
  • Monitor and execute projects in the area of emphasis for new units, operational improvements, maintenance and decommissioning of Fertilizer Units
  • Prepare, adapt and/or review technical spare parts lists and parts required for shutdowns, and maintenance and inspection plans/procedures in SAP
  • Perform failure and operational risk analyses using applicable methodologies (HAZOP, fault tree analysis, Ishikawa, among others)
  • Perform piping flexibility analyses
  • Assess equipment integrity
  • Support implementation of corrosion control techniques
  • Provide technical support for supervision of commissioning, performance tests, factory tests/inspections, and corrective and planned maintenance services for equipment, including issuance of reports and technical opinions
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including drawings, technical specifications, descriptive technical reports, material and services procurement lists related to maintenance activities, as well as communications, technical recommendations, reliability and safety alerts, scopes of work, and other related documents
  • Assist in audits of maintenance and inspection processes (HSE, welding, non-destructive and destructive testing, and materials)

Requirements

  • Minimum proven experience of more than 7 years working in maintenance/inspection of pressurized static equipment
  • Practical and theoretical knowledge of inspection and maintenance of static equipment (pressure vessels, heat exchangers, reactors, boilers, piping, among others), with preferred proficiency in that order
  • Knowledge of welding processes, non-destructive and destructive testing, and materials
  • Knowledge in piping flexibility analysis, corrosion prevention techniques, and equipment integrity assessment
  • Knowledge of national and international standards related to inspection and maintenance of pressurized and non-pressurized static equipment
  • Knowledge of failure analysis techniques (fault tree analysis, Ishikawa, etc.)
  • Good level of English (writing, reading and speaking)
  • Proficiency in the use of the following tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
