About the role

  • Legal Assistant providing secretarial support to lawyers at TD Insurance. Preparing legal documents while managing calendars and client communications within a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares complex legal documents through transcription of written or recorded documents
  • Drafts standard legal documents, correspondence and pleadings for review by lawyer(s)
  • Manages Lawyer's calendar and schedules appointments
  • Composes complex non-technical correspondence
  • Performs research, reviews and prepares documents in accordance with project objectives

Requirements

  • College diploma in legal secretarial and 5+ years of litigation experience
  • Ability to proof and edit legal documents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and client service skills
  • Superior organization and priority setting skills
