About the role
- Java Software Engineer II develops solutions focusing on analytics and supports business objectives at TD. Responsible for development, testing, and configuration of applications collaborating with technology partners.
Responsibilities
- Develops new solutions as required for engineering programs and projects within assigned area
- Develops new features and performs unit/component test for new application development initiatives aligned to business needs
- Supports business enquiries and business activities through execution of small enhancements and break/fix implementations (e.g. source code changes)
- Works with technology partners to ensure the configuration and custom components meet application requirements and performance goals
- Analyzes the technical requirements to recommend pragmatic and sound engineering specific solutions
- Monitors product lifecycles, ensuring specifications and functionality support business objectives and engineering decisions
- Participates in quality management reviews
- Conducts meaningful analysis at the functional or enterprise level using results to draw conclusions and make recommendations
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate degree or Technical Certificate
- Strong academic background (e.g., computer science, engineering)
- 3-5 years relevant experience
- 3+ Years of experience with JAVA, J2EE, Web/Rest Services Development
- 3+ Years of experience JavaScript, Python, Spring, Security, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, NodeJS, React, Angular
- 3+ years of experience with Bitbucket, GIT, GitHub, Maven Jenkins, JIRA
- 3+ Years of experience of Real time Data Ingestion, Handling Large volume of Data
- 3+ Years of Experience with Cloud Services on Azure Docker, Kubernetes GitHub, Co-Pilot, SonarQube, Jscript, Splunk, CI-CD Pipeline framework
- 3+ Years of experience in Agile Methodology
- Prior Banking or Financial Industry Database experience with NoSQL database is strong plus
