About the role

  • Plant Manager ensuring stable production for chemical and MCP operations. Overseeing a team of 30 in exciting fields like modern electronics and aerospace.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure stable and punctual production for the chemical and MCP operations and their tantalum and niobium products
  • Leadership responsibility for approximately 30 employees
  • Develop and implement production, maintenance and engineering strategies based on lean manufacturing principles
  • Calculate future capacities and costs (long-term planning)
  • Participate in the full employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding, employee motivation, etc.)
  • Identify training needs for personnel
  • Monitor market trends
  • Initiate and take responsibility for CAPEX projects and manage enquiries within your area of responsibility
  • Determine requirements for personnel and material resources
  • Monitor performance indicators and production processes and adjust plans as needed
  • Monitor and document costs, quality and inventories
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety and legal requirements, taking into account the use of NORM materials and their residues
  • Responsibility for new processes
  • Sustainably maintain and procure replacements for production equipment in line with the latest technological developments and trends
  • Responsible for continuous improvement processes
  • Contribute to product and process development
  • Support applications engineering, sales and marketing, and advise internal and external customers
  • Responsibility for cost center management

Requirements

  • Degree in natural sciences or engineering with a focus on process engineering/chemical engineering, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., master craftsman/technician with relevant professional experience)
  • At least 5–10 years of professional experience in the metal processing or chemical manufacturing industry
  • In-depth knowledge of operational production methodologies (lean manufacturing)
  • Strong leadership skills and managerial presence
  • Very good German and good English language skills
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Deep process understanding
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
