Responsibilities
Ensure stable and timely production for the chemical and MCP operations and their tantalum and niobium products
Leadership responsibility for approx. 30 employees
Develop and implement production, maintenance and engineering strategies based on lean manufacturing principles
Calculate and forecast future capacities and costs (long-term planning)
Participate in the entire employee lifecycle (onboarding to offboarding, employee motivation, etc.)
Identify employee training needs
Monitor market trends
Initiate and take responsibility for CAPEX projects and manage requests within the area of responsibility
Define staffing and material resource requirements
Monitor KPIs and production processes and adjust plans as needed
Monitor and document costs, quality and inventories
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, safety and legal requirements, taking into account the use of NORM materials and their residues
Take responsibility for new processes
Sustainably maintain and procure replacement production equipment in line with the latest technological developments and trends
Own and drive the continuous improvement process
Contribute to product and process development
Support application engineering as well as sales and marketing, and advise internal and external customers
Cost center responsibility and management
Requirements
Degree in natural sciences or engineering with a focus on process engineering/chemical engineering, or equivalent qualifications (e.g., master craftsman/technician with relevant professional experience)
At least 5–10 years of professional experience in the metal processing or chemical manufacturing industry
In-depth knowledge of operational production methodologies (lean manufacturing)
Strong leadership skills and managerial presence
Excellent German and good English language skills
Excellent facilitation, communication and interpersonal skills
