Director of Supplier Resiliency leading global Supplier Resiliency and Supply Chain Risk Management at HARMAN. Responsible for ensuring robustness, continuity, and sustainability of automotive supply base.
Responsibilities
Lead and define the global Supplier Resiliency and Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM) function across all regions and automotive product lines
Own the global resiliency strategy, end-to-end Risk Management implementation roadmap, operating model, organizational structure, headcount planning, investments, and cost management for SCRM
Establish governance models that integrate supplier resiliency into sourcing decisions, category strategies, and enterprise risk management
Implement structured E2E supplier risk framework covering operational and capacity risk, quality and delivery risk, financial and business continuity risk, geopolitical, regulatory, and environmental risk, sustainability and ESG-related risk
Ensure proactive identification of single-source, single-site, and bottleneck risks, including Tier-n exposure
Define and execute risk mitigation and recovery strategies in collaboration with Procurement and Operations
Utilize the Supplier Resiliency organization to actively engage suppliers through resiliency assessments, development programs, and business continuity planning
Drive corrective actions and supplier recovery plans for high-risk or underperforming suppliers
Provide executive oversight and governance for sustainability and ESG activities led by dedicated team resources
Lead the development and deployment of digital tools, dashboards, and early-warning systems, AI solutions for supplier risk monitoring and scenario analysis
Act as a senior escalation point for supplier-related crises, including supply disruptions, quality escapes, financial distress, or force majeure events
Partner closely with Supplier Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, and OEM Customer Quality teams to ensure resilient launches and stable serial production
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global team with strong expertise in supply chain risk, analytics, and supplier development.
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline
10+ years of progressive experience in supplier management, supplier quality, supply chain risk, or operations within an Automotive Tier-1 or complex manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience leading global, multi-regional teams in a matrix organization
Proven expertise in end-to-end supply chain risk management, including identification, assessment, mitigation, and recovery across supplier tiers and lifecycle stages
Strong understanding of global manufacturing operations, capacity management, and business continuity planning
Strong understanding of ESG data systems, including supplier sustainability assessments, Scope 3 emissions data, and regulatory reporting requirements
Demonstrated ability to leverage data, analytics, and digital tools to drive supplier risk visibility, early warning systems, and fact-based executive decision-making
Strong change leadership capabilities, with the ability to manage complexity, ambiguity, and transformation initiatives
Proven success working in international and cross-cultural environments, adapting leadership style as needed
Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies, applied at a strategic and systems level
Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder influence, and executive communication skills.
