About the role
- Product Owner managing product vision and stakeholder collaboration in commercial lending operations at Barclays. Engaging with technical teams to enhance loan origination and servicing processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product owners and other technical teams involved in the product development process
- Support the development and implementation of the product strategy and vision defined in the product roadmap
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather and prioritize product requirements and features
- Development and implementation of assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance
- Monitoring of product performance to identify opportunities for optimization
- Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross functional areas of impact
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda
- Create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought
Requirements
- Understanding of commercial lending operations and the full loan lifecycle, with experience in systems such as Loan IQ
- Demonstrated experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies, including backlog management and EPIC creation using JIRA
- Ability to manage competing priorities, influence senior stakeholders, and clearly communicate product vision across teams
- Familiarity with data governance principles, system architecture, and integration concepts; comfortable working with tools such as JIRA, SQL, Tableau, and workflow automation platforms
- Ability to assess highly detailed data flows, identify process inefficiencies, and recommend innovative solutions
- Ability to support transformation, coach teams, and drive adoption of new processes; experience in managing UAT and readiness activities for large-scale technical releases
