About the role

  • Event Manager coordinating and executing diverse event formats at Der Tagesspiegel, a leading media house in Berlin. Responsible for managing logistics and stakeholder engagement for successful events.

Responsibilities

  • Together with colleagues from the respective consulting/conception teams, you are responsible for the success of the event, in particular:
  • Organizing and executing a variety of event formats that combine digital, in-person and live elements
  • Preparing, implementing, monitoring and following up on event and conference formats, including, where applicable, large-scale projects
  • Researching, commissioning and managing venues, service providers and trades
  • Assisting with the planning, management, execution and follow-up of invitation mailings and marketing/advertising campaigns (print and online)
  • Maintaining and updating event websites and digital tools

Requirements

  • University degree in event or project management, cultural or art studies, tourism or a related field, or a relevant vocational qualification is an advantage
  • Initial experience in the events sector (minimum 2 years; more experience preferred)
  • Experience in leading, managing and executing events, and in organization and project management
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings
  • Experience in guest/invitation management and with CMS platforms is an advantage
  • Structured, reliable and team-oriented working style
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and a customer-focused mindset
  • Solution- and customer-oriented approach as well as reliability
  • Interest in economic and societal topics that are on the political agenda
  • Enjoy working with relevant stakeholder groups from politics, business, academia and civil society
