Field Service Engineer supporting data center construction at Switch. Delivering mission-critical tech solutions and validating construction processes for future technology.
Responsibilities
Meet with GC and subcontractors, go through all plans and verify build
Act as remote support for sites located in other regions
Assist construction CM/PMs with specific Hardware design and integration installs
Coordinate and schedule field activities, ensuring timely completion of installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance
Act as a technical escalation SME for complex construction issues
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Engineering, Product Development, and Customer Support
Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), service metrics, and customer feedback
Ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety in all field operations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives
Provide direct electro-mechanical trouble shooting and repair as needed
Requirements
A strong technical and construction background
Ability to express ideas clearly, concisely, and effectively
Ability to read blueprints and understand schematics
Excellent presentation and customer service skills
Demonstrated ability to lead with confidence
Proficient with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Previous experience with ProCore and Project Management Software
Hands-on knowledge of CAD modeling software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
Reliable transportation and a state issued drivers license
At least 1+ years experience in Superintendent or Journeyman Level Construction roles
