About the role

  • Training Consultant enhancing skills for medical staff at Sutter Health. Developing and revising training programs, policies, and performing clinical duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees, coordinates, and provides classroom/online training to enhance the skill level of the unit
  • Develops and revises policies and procedures as well as assists in the maintenance of educational and competency records
  • Serves as a preceptor for diagnostic imaging students on rotation
  • Functions as Diagnostic Imaging staff to maintain clinical skills and contribute to the performance and efficiency of the department

Requirements

  • Bachelor in Nursing, Business or Healthcare Administration or related field
  • 8 years recent relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of cms, cdph, tjc and institute of medical quality (imq) accreditation standards and licensing requirements
  • Working knowledge of healthcare delivery, clinical care coordination, and quality improvement/management methodologies
  • Ability to define issues, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills with a keen attention to details
  • Ability to influence others by persuasion and problem solving to achieve desired outcome
  • Collaboration skills to facilitate open sharing of information and cooperation with various stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate through verbal and written means, and to present information to a variety of audiences
