Responsibilities
Manage the pricing methodology for different business segments
Recommend and establish Target Loss Ratios
Provide financial risk analysis and underwriting services
Collaborate with business owners and internal teams
Meet business requirements and develop sound pricing
Document and develop training materials for staff
Coach, mentor, and direct the underwriting team
Fulfill departmental projects and coordinate communication
Requirements
BA/BS degree
10 years industry experience
Minimum of 5 years large group underwriting experience
PC skills required, MS Windows environment
MS Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, other database tools
Comprehensive knowledge of the health insurance business
5 years’ management experience
Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, planning and organizing skills
