About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide operational and strategic leadership for analytics initiatives
- Oversee the Health Analytics research team and additional supporting teams
- Collaborate closely with peers in Data Engineering, Product Development, Strategy, Policy, and Operations on cross-departmental initiatives
- Review and interpret complex datasets to identify trends, risks, disparities, and opportunities for intervention
- Deliver financial and trend analysis of both benefit invoices and claims
- Support the Health Fund leadership in the development and advancement of analytics strategies
- Support the communication of updates on strategic goals and objectives to cross-functional teams
Requirements
- 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in data strategy, health analytics and health research
- Extensive experience with invoice and claims trends analytics, predictive modeling a plus
- Must have significant industry-related data strategy experience to support a team working in the complex landscape of healthcare reimbursement and pricing trends
- People management experience to directly manage staff members, both direct and indirect reports, through effective planning, organization, and supervision
- Strong experience in analysis of health care claims data, value-based care, and population health
- Must have hands-on experience in application of a coding/statistical language to data analysis or development of data structures (SQL, SAS, Python, R)
- Experience with Databricks preferred or similar cloud-based data engineering/analytics platforms
