About the role

  • Legal Specialist roles focused on governance and compliance at Suhai Seguradora. Engage in contract management, risk mitigation, and internal legal support.

Responsibilities

  • Management and standardization of the company’s contracts (suppliers, partners, brokers, service providers, etc.), focused on preventing and mitigating legal risks.
  • Legal support in drafting and reviewing internal policies and regulations, ensuring technical consistency and regulatory compliance.
  • Interpretation and application of SUSEP/CNSP regulation and federal rules, including regulatory impact analysis and guidance to business areas.
  • Technical support to the Ethics Channel, due diligence, LGPD and ESG initiatives, contributing to strengthening the culture of integrity and governance.
  • Technical participation in the Risk Committee with a regulatory and contractual focus, contributing to governance decisions and direction.
  • Legal support in responding to official communications and ongoing regulatory adherence, as well as handling business-area inquiries that may have legal implications for the company.
  • Technical interface with the Internal Litigation legal team, supporting alignments on root causes, legal theories and lessons learned for prevention and continuous improvement.
  • Activation and coordination (when necessary) of external legal counsel for complex matters: sensitive contracts, critical regulatory interpretations and specific preventive analyses.

Requirements

  • Law degree.
  • Prior experience in the financial market, preferably in an insurance company.
  • Excellent legal drafting skills and experience producing legal documents (opinions, formal responses, technical notes, clauses and drafts).
  • Knowledge and practice in contracts, governance and corporate routines.
  • Ability to interpret regulations and translate regulatory requirements into clear guidance for the business (includes SUSEP/CNSP).
  • Technical rigor and attention to detail, with a focus on avoiding errors and delivering consistently high-quality work.
  • Critical-analytical thinking, ability to question, investigate and propose well-founded solutions.
  • Organization, autonomy and the ability to manage matters with little supervision while maintaining method, stability and standards.
  • Factual and objective communication, especially in interactions with internal areas and in regulatory responses/official communications.
  • Preferred: Postgraduate degree in Corporate/Contract Law, Regulatory Law, Compliance and Integrity, Digital Law/LGPD.
