About the role

  • This position is responsible for various tasks related to highway maintenance, such as repairing guardrails, cutting trees/brush, patching roads, picking litter, ditching, and more
  • In the winter months, this position will also assist with plowing and salting
  • Overtime may be required.

Requirements

  • No education or experience required
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • An incumbent must live within reasonable proximity of assigned workstation
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required for the successful completion of original probation
  • An incumbent must complete all VTTC required coursework within six (6) months or be enrolled
