About the role

  • Motor Vehicle Direct Client Service Specialist I working in a fast-paced environment for the Vermont Department of Transportation. Responsibilities include managing customer service for high volume mail and paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Fast-paced position in the Mail Processing Unit that requires dealing with large volume of mail on a daily basis.
  • Able to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Position may be required to lift 15-25 pounds.
  • Perform several job duties within several different units possibly in the same day.
  • Travel to other offices with minimal notice to assist when staffing shortages occur.

Requirements

  • Two (2) or more years of experience in a customer or client service role that includes significant public contact AND regular use of computer programs.
  • Six (6) months or more of work experience in the Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles.
  • Ability to process large amounts of mail and paperwork.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
