Provide supervision, rehabilitation, and support services to offenders under the supervision of the Probation and Parole Division of the Vermont Department of Corrections.
Utilize both risk control and risk management services as part of a supervision team of high-risk offender.
Work in accordance with correctional policies, directives, and procedures under the supervision of an administrative superior.
Communicate effectively to a team the dynamics observed during field contacts.
Maintain a professional rapport with local law-enforcement agencies and community partners.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, social service or a related human services field OR Associate's degree AND one (1) year or more of experience in corrections, human services, military service, law enforcement or other related field.
OR High School diploma or equivalent AND two (2) years or more of experience in corrections, human services, military service, law enforcement or other related field.
A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required.
Prior Corrections, law-enforcement, or military experience preferred.
