About the role

  • Product Manager overseeing upstream product development and strategy at Stryker. Translate customer insights into product direction and guide innovation for patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead upstream product strategy from concept development through handoff, ensuring alignment with growth objectives and portfolio priorities.
  • Identify unmet clinical needs through structured voice-of-customer activities, including interviews, field observations, and advisory engagements.
  • Conduct market, customer, and competitive assessments to inform product positioning, differentiation, and long-term roadmap decisions.
  • Develop product requirements by defining user needs, value propositions, and target product profiles that guide design and development.
  • Build business cases, including market sizing, pricing strategy, revenue forecasts, and investment justification to support pipeline decisions.
  • Partner cross-functionally with R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations to translate customer insights into feasible product concepts.
  • Support clinical strategy by defining claims, endpoints, and evidence requirements in collaboration with Clinical Affairs and Regulatory.
  • Define launch readiness inputs for downstream marketing, including segmentation, targeting, positioning, and value messaging.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 4 years of work experience
  • Experience in product marketing
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple cross-functional stakeholders to deliver projects or business outcomes
  • Master’s Degree (MBA) preferred
  • Experience in upstream product marketing
  • Experience managing product roadmaps for capital (hardware-enabled) and/or software-driven solutions in an enterprise or regulated environment
  • Experience supporting or participating in new product development processes
  • Experience working within complex, multistep business processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
