About the role

  • Principal Portfolio Manager for Acute Care OEM/Specialty defining long-term portfolio strategy. Leading product lifecycle management and cross-functional collaboration for market competitiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead OEM and contract manufacturing partnerships to support specialty/furniture product lines and strengthen long‑term portfolio competitiveness.
  • Define, communicate, and execute portfolio and specialty/furniture category strategy, ensuring alignment with broader business goals and market opportunities.
  • Continuously analyze markets, competitors, and emerging trends to anticipate shifts, guide strategic decision‑making, and adjust portfolio direction proactively.
  • Identify unmet customer needs and emerging customer segments, translating qualitative and quantitative insights into actionable product and service opportunities.
  • Lead end‑to‑end product lifecycle management, from concept through obsolescence, ensuring rigorous forecasting, pricing alignment, and lifecycle planning.
  • Partner closely with R&D to anticipate future technology and capability needs, shape strategic innovation, and ensure product development aligns with long‑term market direction.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally, including Clinical Affairs, Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to drive cohesive execution of strategy, evidence generation, customer acquisition/retention, and market expansion.
  • Establish performance standards and evaluate business outcomes, leveraging benchmarks, channel performance data, and KPIs to refine strategy and maximize portfolio impact.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Minimum 8 years of related work experience required
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years medical device or marketing experience preferred
  • Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
