About the role

  • Manager overseeing assessment and improvement of Welfare and Self-Reliance products and services. Ensures impactful delivery of humanitarian efforts worldwide with an emphasis on strategic evaluation and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee processes and tools to ensure Church-provided funds are used as intended, reach the right people, and create the intended impact.
  • Design and implement monitoring and evaluation data collection systems and frameworks to track outputs, outcomes, and impact across all Welfare and Self-Reliance and Humanitarian products, services, and operations.
  • Identify, meet, and develop working relationships with partners/vendors in the effort to evaluate if products, goods, and services are provided to the right people at the right time throughout the world.
  • Review performance and analytics to ensure milestones are met and deliverables achieved.
  • Analyze, synthesize, and communicate findings, learnings, and strategic considerations to stakeholders, operations, and external implementing organizations.
  • Facilitate the design and implementation of new/improved process tools to assist in the process of measuring the effectiveness of Church-funded efforts and to help WSRS implement evaluation findings to continuously improve the work.
  • Provide performance reporting to headquarters governing councils and area governing councils.
  • Manages the modification of systems and processes, the adaptation of existing systems and processes to better support the Department and ensures that work is done as effectively as possible.
  • The incumbent regularly manages the work of other employees (may include mixed workforce) and volunteers, and is authorized in partnership with HR, to hire or fire employees and recommends advancements, promotion, or any other change of status of employees within their reporting line.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Statistics, International Development, Public Health, Research, or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of applicable experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Recognized ability to positively and effectively lead critical and highly visible work.
  • Possess strong ability to understand and align with key strategic objectives.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business processes and structures and to recommend changes.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven capability in managing and motivating a team of professionals.
  • Preferred
  • Master's Degree in a relevant discipline
