About the role

  • Marketing Manager responsible for developing innovative campaigns for sports and community projects. Collaborating with teams to enhance brand visibility and engagement in Berlin.

Responsibilities

  • As a Marketing Manager in the area of local sports and clubs, you develop, manage and optimize creative marketing campaigns
  • You understand the needs and interests of athletes, club members and volunteers across their entire customer journey
  • You take responsibility for the strategic and operational marketing of our “local” sports and club projects
  • Conceptualize, plan and implement campaigns across all relevant channels
  • You create, adapt and repurpose content for our clubs — text, video and graphics — together with the Content Team
  • You oversee and act as the driving force in the further development of our social media channels.

Requirements

  • Initial practical experience (approx. 1–2 years) in marketing — e.g., at agencies, startups or companies, preferably with a connection to sports, clubs or communities
  • A passion for storytelling: you have a good command of language, an eye for design and understand how brands resonate emotionally
  • Curiosity about new trends, formats and channels — you enjoy experimenting and can think beyond traditional marketing paths
  • First exposure to performance marketing & paid ads (e.g., Meta, Google, LinkedIn) and a desire to grow your skills in this area
  • Experience in designing, executing and analyzing marketing campaigns and an understanding of how to make success measurable
  • A basic understanding of data-driven marketing and the ability to translate numbers into meaningful actions
  • Very good German skills, both spoken and written.
