About the role

  • BIM Operations Support Specialist providing CAD/DAO/SIG support to users in Quebec. Collaborating with teams, maintaining standards, and automating processes for enhanced productivity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to building engineering teams;
  • Assist the BIM coordinator in drafting, deploying and ensuring compliance with BIM standards;
  • Create and maintain template files in French;
  • Develop the required parametrization (families, transfer files, etc.) to meet the needs of French-speaking clients in Quebec;
  • Ensure synchronization of this parametrization with corporate teams outside Quebec;
  • Automate certain commands to improve productivity;
  • Provide support to Revit users and troubleshoot technical issues;
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement and innovation initiatives;
  • Design, prepare and deliver training tailored to team needs;
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and support skills development;
  • Collaborate closely with various stakeholders to achieve common objectives;
  • Act as a mentor to colleagues to support their professional growth;
  • Actively participate in the development and optimization of internal processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in the construction sector and an understanding of the needs of different stakeholders (architects, civil engineers, contractors, etc.);
  • Solid knowledge of your discipline, at an intermediate or junior level;
  • Strong interest in continuous improvement and innovation;
  • Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences and able to simplify complex concepts;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills that promote teamwork and mentoring;
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office;
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (user support, teams, etc.);
  • Technical knowledge of BIM applications, PC environments, web applications, Cloud services and databases;
  • Deep understanding of and ability to optimize BIM workflows;
  • Knowledge of English is required or considered an asset to facilitate collaboration with internal teams outside Quebec and with certain clients.
