About the role

  • Interior Designer at Stantec creating cohesive design solutions for clients. Collaborating with architectural teams and using design software to produce high-quality design work.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts basic interpretations of sketches, drawings, codes, program, and other material
  • Supports project teams in the development of interior design concepts, space planning, documentation, and presentation materials
  • Work collaboratively with Architectural and Engineering team
  • Assists in the development of a design through sketches, models, and other visual formats
  • Utilizes BIM technologies in the development of three-dimensional models
  • Assists in research of concept, benchmarks, materials, and precedents
  • Assists in selection of interior building products and materials
  • Assists in communication with product representatives
  • Assists in construction administration responsibilities

Requirements

  • Requires proficiency in Revit and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using Revit as a design tool is a plus
  • Well versed with the most recent design and presentation software (InDesign, Enscape, Sketch-up, Photoshop, and Illustrator, etc.)
  • Ability to hand-sketch and communicate concepts and ideas to others
  • Ability to interpret sketches, drawings, programs and other similar material
  • Skills in communicating abstract ideas (verbal/written/graphic)
  • Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting
  • Effective in working autonomously
  • Bachelor’s or higher degree in Interior Design or related field
  • 0 to 3 years of experience
