About the role
- Production Coordinator coordinating daily production activities for featurette projects in the DMP department, collaborating with various teams to track assets and manage schedules.
Responsibilities
- Support the DMP Department by coordinating day-to-day production activities for a featurette project
- Work closely with DMP leads and supervisors to manage schedules, track assets, and ensure environment deliverables align with overall production goals
- Serve as a key communication link between DMP artists and cross-departmental teams to keep the pipeline moving smoothly
- Assist in creating, maintaining, and updating DMP schedules, asset lists, and shot assignments
- Track progress of matte paintings and environment assets using ShotGrid (or equivalent), ensuring timely and accurate updates
- Facilitate communication between DMP, layout, lighting, compositing, and other departments to support environment integration
- Organize and participate in production meetings; document notes, action items, and approvals
- Identify potential bottlenecks in the DMP pipeline and proactively coordinate solutions with leads and production
- Coordinate resources, reference materials, and deliveries related to DMP assets and environments
- Prepare reports, status updates, and review materials for supervisors and stakeholders
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience as a Production Coordinator, preferably within animation, VFX, or environment-focused departments
- Proficiency with ShotGrid or similar production tracking software
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Familiarity with DMP workflows (environment creation, projections, asset handoff) is a plus
