Responsibilities

• Leverage cutting-edge tools (UAVs, AI-integrated solutions) and contribute to Stantec’s Innovation Office and Digital Center of Excellence.
• Build relationships with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
• Manage and execute small to mid-sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, including planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication.
• Apply your expertise to complex analyses, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Lead and coordinate small project teams, fostering collaboration and professional growth.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the advancement of our technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven ability to manage projects independently.
• Proactive approach and strong problem-solving skills.
• Passion for making a positive impact through engineering.
• Effective communication and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to technical excellence and mentorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical or Geological or Mining Engineering, or Geology.
• 5–10 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or related services.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with APEGA or eligible for registration transfer from another province.
• Valid Canadian driver’s license with access to a vehicle.
• Ability to live and work in Canada.
• Residing in Edmonton Alberta, or willing to relocate.
