Responsibilities
Design and develop control and protection schemes for substations, including relay settings, logic diagrams, and single-line diagrams, adhering to international and company standards.
Prepare technical specifications, equipment lists, and bid documents for control and protection systems and associated components.
Oversee the installation, commissioning, and testing of control and protection equipment on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications and safety protocols.
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex control and protection system malfunctions, implementing effective corrective actions to minimize downtime.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, and internal teams to define project requirements, provide technical support, and ensure successful project delivery.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes, tools, and standards within the control and protection domain.
Stay abreast of new technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes in power system control and protection.
Provide technical training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in the design, engineering, and commissioning of control and protection systems for high-voltage substations or power generation.
Strong understanding of power system principles, fault analysis, and protection relaying concepts (e.g., distance protection, differential protection, overcurrent protection).
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment and interacting with clients.
Fluency in Portuguese (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in English is a significant advantage.
Availability for occasional travel to project sites.
