Retail Operations Manager acting as liaison between corporate and store teams for operational excellence at Squishable. Managing new store openings and ensuring effective communication across all locations.
Responsibilities
Serve as the communication liaison between corporate and store teams.
Partner with Learning & Development to build and maintain training modules related to store operations.
Assist in the development, implementation, and ongoing updates of the Store Operations Manual.
Ensure the Store Planning Calendar and Inbound Order Documents are accurate and communicated on time.
Order fixtures, supplies, and equipment for new stores and ensure on-time delivery.
Manage construction timelines and communication with contractors, vendors, and mall management.
Support new store openings, relocations, pop-ups, and store closings through project management and on-site assistance as needed.
Monitor and analyze store-level labor data and report insights to leadership.
Ensure accurate entry of shipment receipts, transfers, and related data into NetSuite.
Oversee store supply ordering, replenishment processes, and vendor relationships.
Manage store maintenance and facilities requests, coordinating with mall management and external vendors.
Track issues, manage repair timelines, and maintain updated documentation of work orders.
Partner with Retail Leadership, Visual Merchandising, Inventory Planning, L&D, and Finance to support operational needs.
Troubleshoot store-level issues and remove roadblocks to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
4+ years of operations leadership experience in Retail.
Experience managing new store openings, relocations, or pop-ups.
Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and related tools; able to analyze data and present insights.
Team-oriented with strong people management and collaboration skills.
Experience in a rapidly scaling business is a plus.
Willingness to travel 30–50% to stores across the country.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Valid driver’s license preferred.
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods during store visits.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
