About the role

  • Front-End Developer specialized in Salesforce for S&P Global's Mobility division, creating high-performance interfaces and collaborating in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Custom UI Development: Design and develop custom, scalable, and maintainable front-end components using Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • State Management: Implement complex client-side logic and state management within Salesforce.
  • API Integration: Connect front-end components to Salesforce data via Wire Service and Apex controllers, as well as integrating third-party REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Design System Alignment: Ensure all UI elements adhere to the Salesforce Lightning Design System (SLDS) while extending it for unique brand requirements.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize component load times and rendering performance within the Salesforce container.
  • Mobile Responsiveness: Ensure all custom interfaces are fully responsive and functional on the Salesforce Mobile App.
  • Design Implementation: Translate high-fidelity Figma/Sketch mockups into pixel-perfect Salesforce interfaces.
  • Usability Advocacy: Apply UX principles (accessibility, hierarchy, affordance) to ensure that the technical solutions developed are intuitive for the end-user.
  • Prototyping: Rapidly develop "living prototypes" within a sandbox environment to test user interactions and layouts.
  • Accessibility (a11y): Ensure all developed components meet WCAG standards and provide a consistent experience for users with disabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ Years in Web Development: Deep focus on modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular experience is a plus).
  • 3+ Years in Salesforce Development: Specialized experience building custom UI solutions using LWC (Lightning Web Components).
  • Portfolio/Examples: Ability to demonstrate previous work where technical complexity was balanced with high-quality visual design.
  • Languages: Expert-level JavaScript (ES6+), CSS3 (including Flexbox and Grid), and HTML5.
  • Salesforce Platform: LWC, Salesforce CLI, Aura (for legacy support), and Experience Cloud customization.
  • Design Literacy: Proficiency in navigating Figma or Adobe XD to inspect layers, styles, and assets.
  • DevOps: Experience with Git-based version control and automated deployment pipelines (CI/CD).
  • Styling: Deep understanding of SLDS (Salesforce Lightning Design System) and CSS preprocessors like SASS/LESS.
  • Testing: Experience writing unit tests for front-end components (e.g., Jest).
  • Platform Limits: Knowledge of Salesforce Governor Limits and how they impact front-end performance and data fetching.
  • Required: Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I.
  • Required: Salesforce Certified User Experience (UX) Designer.
  • Preferred: Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PDI).
