About the role
- Commercial Portfolio Manager overseeing credit analysis for loan and deposit portfolios supporting Relationship Managers. Engaging in financial evaluations, industry research, and credit processes within the Bank.
Responsibilities
- Supports the commercial loan and deposit portfolio of one or more Relationship Managers
- Analyzes financial information to evaluate the credit worthiness of new loan requests
- Completes industry research, as needed, supporting existing and new Customers to the Bank
- Compiles commercial loan packages ensuring completeness and accuracy of information provided
- Guides the loan request through the Credit Approval Process
- Monitors and services the large commercial loan portfolios of the supported Commercial Bankers
- Works with Relationship Manager, Credit Administrators and Loan Assistant to minimize past due loans
- Remains knowledgeable of all laws and regulations governing lending activities.
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with internal business partners and external contacts.
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial banking, business banking
- At least 2 years of specific portfolio management and/or underwriting experience supporting Middle Market.
- Familiarity with loan structuring and loan documentation is required.
- Knowledge in accounting and lending principles
- In-depth knowledge of Federal and State lending regulations and Bank policies related to lending procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
