About the role
- Senior Cloud Engineer responsible for architecting and optimizing secure cloud infrastructure. Working with cross-functional teams in a rapidly expanding fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Architect and deploy secure, scalable, and cost-optimised cloud infrastructure to support fintech applications
- Develop and maintain IaC using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure ARM templates to automate infrastructure provisioning and management
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines
- Implement security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security
- Monitor and optimise cloud performance, leveraging tools like AWS CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Datadog
- Implement cost-optimisation strategies to maximise ROI on cloud investments
- Design and implement disaster recovery (DR) strategies and high-availability architectures
- Work closely with software engineers, security teams, and junior cloud engineers, providing technical guidance
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering
- Designed and managed cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or GCP within a fintech or regulated industry
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, ECS)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
