Responsibilities
As a member of the Finance department, the Project Controller is responsible for optimizing the financial data of the subsidiaries within their scope with regard to internal projects as well as service or engineering contracts. They organize the financial aspects of the project by breaking it down into packages, phases or stages, while monitoring costs, schedules and outcomes.
MISSIONS π―
Prepare the initial budget and produce the forecast schedule covering all phases of the project based on the purchase order or estimation file, in collaboration with Project Managers;
Populate management documents (from their preparation to distribution);
Monitor the financial progress of projects by controlling all costs and revenues throughout the life of the project (commitments, expenses, changes and budget transfers, provisions);
Analyze and identify variances during the project between the current budget and the cost at completion;
Alert project management and propose corrective actions in case of forecasted overruns;
Present the monthly production report at meetings with Operational Management in support of the Head of Project Controlling;
Extract and analyze the financial closing statement of projects and communicate it to Project Managers;
Ensure compliance with standards regarding the presentation and content of financial documents.
Requirements

Education:
Minimum level of studies: Bac +3 (Bachelor's degree)
Required field of study: Accounting
Minimum years of experience in the target role or equivalent: 3 years within the finance department of an SME
Technical skills:
Knowledge of basic accounting standards and regulations applicable to companies.
Understanding of the companyβs activities and associated regulatory requirements.
Analysis and synthesis: Approach problems holistically to accurately determine root causes and identify appropriate solutions. Extract the essentials of a situation from multiple elements.
Planning and prioritization: Determine actions to undertake by selecting and prioritizing based on urgency and importance.
