About the role

  • Regional Sales Manager at Smith+Nephew overseeing sales targets and field force management for medical devices. Collaborating with marketing and training to ensure successful product promotion and team development.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for managing clinical seminars & conferences, and promotional campaigns.
  • Achieving sales target of assigned area, ensuring that productwise and individual team member’s sales targets are also achieved.
  • Maintaining sales records, analyzing the same, and ensuring that sales trends analyses are communicated to field staff.
  • Training, counseling, motivating and skill development of the team members.
  • Managing the distribution channels of assigned area.
  • Responsible for monitoring and controlling the inventory levels.
  • Liaise with the institutional stockiest/liaison agents and hospital stores & purchase personnel.
  • Organizing, participating & ensuring effective promotion of assigned company products during medical seminars and conferences.
  • Interaction with Head Office Marketing to procure technical and marketing information.

Requirements

  • Minimum Graduate/MBA Preferred/Science Graduate (B. Pharm, B.Sc) preferred
  • Overall sales experience of at least 8-10 years in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry, of which 2 years in regional level supervisory position.
  • Proficient knowledge and Experience in medical device industry.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-Driven and result oriented approach
  • Good communication & presentation skills.
  • Proven man-management, situation-handling, crisis management skills.
  • Ability to grasp clinical terminology and competence to communicate product features & benefits in a clinical environment with healthcare professionals.
