About the role
- Director of Solutions Architect responsible for building software components in Fidelity's Insurance domain. Collaborating with technology teams and mentoring engineers in an agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Work with business and technology leadership to define interim and target architectures
- Build next generation software components at one of the largest high-volume FinTech companies in the world
- Partner with business sponsors, product owners, engineers and other architects in an agile environment
- Design, test, and implement technology solutions while mentoring engineers
- Champion innovation, drive standardization, and deliver modern technology patterns across the technology stack
Requirements
- 15+ years’ experience engineering/developing web enabled applications
- Possess working knowledge of insurance and annuities domain (required)
- Possess working knowledge of term life insurance underwriting technology platforms and rules engines (required)
- Proven track record as a Solution Architect designing and building scalable solutions
- Experience with Agile development methodology
- Experience with various architecture styles such as SOA & Micro-Services
- Experience in all aspects of AWS cloud computing environments
- Experience with event-driven, serverless architecture, design, and implementation
- Experience in full-stack development of N-tiered applications
- Experience developing applications using Java / .NET, and Angular
- Working knowledge of frameworks like TOGAF & Amazon Well-Architected Framework
- Working knowledge of SDLC including test automation and CI / CD
- Ability to work both independently and as a team player across organizations
